Remember just how indecisive I was back when it was time to get my bangs cut? Yeah, I think I’ve taken it to a whole new level; I’ve started wearing my bangs a different way just about everyday. Some days they’re straight down the front, some days pulled back, and, now, side swept. Yep, I’ve listened to all your beautiful advice and I think I’m in love with my current, short side bang look.
We’ll see just how long my love lasts, though, I’m still Miss Indecisive after all.
In other news, what I may have failed to mention when I first introduced you to Matt is that he lives over in the other Washington. So I’m eagerly counting down until his plane lands tomorrow afternoon and I get a big old hug.
What this also means, is that you can fully anticipate cute coupley pictures with Marci and David because we are having our first real double date! So be on the look out for way too much cuteness sprinkled with a heavy dash of ridiculousness because you know things are going to be epic when the four of us are all in one place…with cameras. Ohhhh heck yes!
Happy almost weekend guys! And let me know what you think about bangs!
This year will forever be remembered as the years Harry Potter took over my wardrobe. After my jaunt in Wizarding World, I’ve been rocking the crap out of my Gryffindor House sweater- I wear it to work, I wear it while shopping, and yesterday, I even wore it to the spa (it was cold out…so cold we even had our first snow! How wintertime in Hogsmead of us!). I’m kind of addicted to this sweater.
Yesterday, I met up with a friend for lunch (it’s amazing how much time I have for friends when I’m not doing both school and work! I’ve seen more friends in the last week than I had in the last three months) and we exchanged some pretty epic gifts. Imagine how thrilled I was when I opened this little gem?!
Yeah, I was beyond excited to be holding my very own golden snitch necklace! (Shout out to my friend Ashley who handcrafted him for me!) You bet you’re going to see him pop up on the blog from time to time. I can’t wait to figure out how I can make him be a work appropriate accessory. She also got me the fanciest snuggie out there…check the poms on this guy!
Impromptu photoshoot while blogging! Yay! Spontaneity!

Yay! Goofy Face Picture!!!
And so it has begun. Pretty soon you’ll be seeing me rock a robe and tie like it’s no big deal, I’ll be working my time-turner like it’s my third year at Hogwarts, and I’ll have a magic bag where I keep all my possessions stashed away…or maybe not. Guess you’ll just have to keep an eye on the blog to see just how far bad my Harry addiction gets. But be sure of one thing, I’ll be wearing my snuggie as the coolest blanket cape ever for the next six months straight.
Happy Sunday folks!
I’m working on my final memo for the quarter. And when I say memo, I mean 8 pages of exceedingly precise and concise text that in regular writing is roughly 10 pages (how do I know? Because my memo is currently sitting pretty at 10 pages…so much editing to do!) Needless to say, I’ve been a little distracted and slightly crazy (before proof reading this sentence read as: “Needless to day, I’ve been a little distraction” yeah…lots of distraction going on over here). So. Today, I’m bringing you some things that have been getting me through my crazies.
Things I want when I’m all graduated from this program and can actually afford awesome stuff:
And, of course, Jenna Marbles!
Outfit Pics to come this weekend…post-memo-pacalyse. Woo! Something for us all to look forward to! Have a good end to the week guys, God knows I can’t wait for Friday at 4 pm when I officially start my first true weekend off from life in months!
As I’m writing this post I’m listening to Christmas music, taking a load off, and mentally refreshing myself because it’s that dreaded part of the quarter: finals week. I have a big scary paper due next week but we’ve been working on it for weeks so it should be a piece of cake. Tomorrow, however, I have a pretty scary final that covers an amazingly massive array of topics. So, tonight’s post is going to be short and to the point…kind of like my outfit (and legal writing!).
Today was my first try at monochromatic black (aside from throwing on a LBD) and I think I’m finally embracing the whole head-to-toe black look in my everyday life. I felt pretty dang rad rocking this solid black get-up.
As an added bonus, this is what I looked like as I wrote this post (cause I know everyone is dying to see the “behind the scenes” and if not, well, haters be hatin’)…
Happy Sunday everyone! This week has been one seriously emotional roller coaster. And while it’s been a little rough, it has also reminded me of the importance of self-care. From getting your nails done, to snuggling with your doggie, to taking steps to improve your health, to relaxing in a warm shower, to looking at pictures of puppies on the internet-self-care is amazing. And while I do do all of the aforementioned I’ve started realizing I’ve started using fashion as a form of self-care lately.
Rather than try to merely look pulled together or appropriate for the situation, I’ve been picking my clothes mainly by what will make me happiest for the day and remind me that I will make it through whatever may come my way. Take this outfit.
Despite all the stress that’s been thrown my way these last few days, at least I’ve been able to be comfy, happy, and, most importantly, silly. All of of which have significantly boosted my ability to deal with life and take everything as it comes…and take it from this life-long worry wart, that’s not small feat.

I totally and completely recommend that you wear at least one outfit this week that makes you unbelievably happy because it definitely makes a difference in your day (just ask Marci who has been rebelling against her work dress code…that’s rough over there!)
Have a great start to the week guys and smile big as you throw on those chunky sweaters/leggings/amazing heels/embellished tees/what have you.
Alright guys, today you’re getting a little insight into my mid-week, crazy, sleep-deprived brain. I’ve come to realize something very big-it’s amazingly difficult to take pictures of yourself at the end of a long day. Maybe I’m just lacking in mad skillz, but this is what I’ve got for you:I really love this outfit, though, which made this evening’s photoshoot all the more bittersweet. I am in love with this purple scarf, I adore these work pants, and sweaters are probably the best thing ever. But, unfortunately, these pictures do not do them (nor my hair) much justice. Tanks:Target//Sweater:TJ Maxx//Scarf:Fred Meyers//Pants:Express
Which is why sometimes you just have to roll with the punches, rock your new favorite scarf, and take some ridiculous pictures… like this last one…
…which completely sums up how I feel roughly 14% of the time. Happy Thursday everyone (it’s almost Friday!!!)!
I’ve been meaning to write this post for a while…kind of. I had my reservations: I like to keep a (admittedly small) bit of my life private, I wanted to keep this part of me safe-almost harbored inside of me, and I know things change fast in life and I wasn’t sure I could handle the heart break of this changing and me having to tell you. But I’m here today to tell you, with much anxiety and anticiaption (from a small collection for friends *cough cough Marci*) that I have a boyfriend.
Say hi to Matt (previously known as Mr. New York).
(This is us in New York this last summer with the sunsetting behind us over New Jersey)
Matt has been lurking around, behind the scenes of Moose like my personal Quasimodo for a while. Though thinly hidden, he has been here for months making many of my posts possible. So, folks, here’s what you haven’t been seeing…
You all saw this scarf on this post but what I didn’t mention is that Matt brought it to me from all the way over from Thailand.
This picture was taken after this picture…
And this last weekend’s pictures from Leavenworth,
Did not include these pictures:
I realize this is not the most profound nor life changing news I could be throwing your way (unless you have my face tattooed on your chest and you’ve been secretly trying to seduce me for years in which case, I’m sorry, but it might be time to go get a new hobby) but it’s still a little nerve wracking. Regardless, it was time to let you all in on my little secret (not to mention make it way easier to talk about all the exciting plans we’ve made for Christmas and New Years).
Here’s to many more adventures, great times, and lots of kisses!
PS- Seeeee Matt? I know you’re reading this…our relationship is officially blog official.
Hi-o! I’m sorry to be posting so late in the day, but I just got home from Leavenworth, WA aka. American Bavaria! While there was only a short sprinkle of snow, it was freezing the whole so I was finally able to break out my winter gear and rock my peacoat!
How could I not posing with this German man with a fabulous mustache!? I kid you not when I say there was polka music playing all over this little park to help this little German man feel a little more at home (and complete the city wide theme).
This weekend was so fun: it’s been the first weekend in about two months that I haven’t had any homework and could just do exactly what I want, when I want to. Pure bliss, I tell you. Annnnd there as Christmas everywhere…
Happy early start to the holiday season (oh yes, it’s here. I think it’s impossible to miss all the racks of Christmas ornaments lining all the stores and the random Christmas tunes popping up everywhere these days) and, as usual, happy Sunday!
